Well in the latest Wilson news, Jake is doing ok. He is still at 28% oxygen, but they have increased his feeding amounts from 20cc to 25cc and decreased his IV fluids, lipids, etc. The therapist is begininng to work with him on his bottle feedings, right now he is only taking one bottle and rest by feeding tube, he gets tired during the bottle feedings, but they will continue to increase the bottle feeds so that we can bottle feed him. Andy and I took our CPR/Infant care class this morning, we didn't really learn anything that we didn't already know about. I'm not sure if it is the research or that we ask questions, but we knew what Kangroo care and Mozart affect, and Andy used to teach Red cross CPR and I was certified up until April, but we still had to take it. Oh well, it was a refresher course.
Jake has also moved rooms. There are 4 rooms, 1&2 are for the most severe babies and 3&4 are for the "feeders and growers". Because Jake was off the ventilator and no longer classified as severe, they moved him to another room. Really the reason they moved him was because they were expecting another patient and needed his spot, but its nice to be in another room, feels like we are making progress.

Addy is still doing wonderful, she fell asleep in the middle of feeding, Andy was vacuuming so apparently the white noise helped, too bad she didn't finish the bottle until he got done and woke up. I go tomorrow for my follow up from the c-section, hopefully everything checks out fine and we will be back with Jake tomorrow afternoon.
And FYI, the greatest inventions are waffle blankets and sleep sack pjs.

Sounds like great progress Lisa!! Are you breast feeding? How are you and Andy holding up? We think of you every day.
