Oh yes, flight school. Anyone that has ever dealt with the Army or the military for that matter, knows that things can change at any minute. While I could cite numerous incidences that this has occurred, we had another "change" today. Andy was supposed to start class for the Kiowas at the end of July and we would be moving January, now he has been bumped up a month, starting at the end of June and hopefully graduating in December.
Up until this point we had accepted it and it kinda worked out with the kids birthday in July, Andy's family visiting for the 4th of July, and my parents visiting; we had even planned a trip for just us at the end of June as a one-last-hurrah before Andy started flying again. So now family is still visiting, luckily the 4th, is a 3 day weekend, but he will be gone the other days from 730-6ish. Oh well.
Oh and another example that happened yesterday, "Mr. Andy, you have a PT test on Monday" "ok, but I'm on a profile for my foot until the middle of May" "uh ok, you need to take one after that". Last minute. Again. Got to love the Army.
