4 months

Well we have made it 4 months and haven't misplaced a kid yet! The kids had their 4 month check up and their stats are:

Jake:
length: 24"
weight: 12lbs 9ounces (1lb 11ounces gained in one month)
stats: 5% for weight 9% for height (finally on the charts!)

Addy:
length: 24.75"
weight: 14lbs 13.5 ounces (2lbs 7.5 ounces gained in one month)
stats: 65% for weight 55% for height (not bad for a baby that weighed 5lbs 1ounce when born)

We got the green light to continue on with stage one foods since they have been doing great on their oatmeal. I'm armed with my cookbook and will start making their food tomorrow evening and freezing it. I've got carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas in house at the moment, I'll have to hit the commissary for the rest. The kids have been loving their oatmeal, I can't shovel fast enough for their liking.

As for for their GERD, the doctor does not want to increase their dosage unless they start showing signs of it getting worse, he hopes to wean them off the Zantac as they take more and more solids.

And for Jake's lumpy/misshapen head, no helmet for now, the doctor thinks it will even out as he gets bigger and if we keep him from laying on his right side. He has NICU head as I have termed it, he favors the right side; he's gotten better about looking left and laying with his head towards the left so we are making progress.

Jake ran a low grade fever this afternoon and was incredibly fussy, but I gave him some Tylenol and cuddled and rocked with him, he was out within minutes, poor little boy. Addy, well Addy is incredibly resilient, she hit some notes that I only thought guys could when they got kicked in a not so great place. She screamed as we got her dressed, as we checked out, as we walked to the car, and every time the car stopped she screamed. By the time we got to Sam's she was down to a whimper and ready for her bottle. She still seems a little out of it this evening, but she's been grinning and talking like a fool and not running a fever.

So for now, the kids are recovering from shots, teething, are going through a growth spurt and eating like crazy, sleepy, and drowning everyone in drool. Just a normal day in the Wilson house.

I never make my girls food when they were little, I was afraid of making it. Good luck.
